“Helping” my mom fold laundry

In honor of Mother’s Day this coming Sunday, a few posts this week will be dedicated to my mom. I miss her lots, but I’m happy that she is pain free and at peace.

I spent some time with her about a month before she passed away. One thing she was having a really hard time with was that she wouldn’t be able to be a grandma to her grandkids. Sometimes Makua will look over our shoulders as if he’s interacting with someone or something. He’ll smile and laugh sometimes even. Maybe she is getting to play grandma after all…

I was amazed when Isaac was born at the sense of relationship that I could already feel. I think you are right about her getting to be grandma. A loving Heavenly Father probably made it so that babies are close to the other side for that very purpose.

So true Emily…it’s a good reminder to us all to be more childlike too.
