“Helping” my mom fold laundry

In honor of Mother’s Day this coming Sunday, a few posts this week will be dedicated to my mom. I miss her lots, but I’m happy that she is pain free and at peace.

I spent some time with her about a month before she passed away. One thing she was having a really hard time with was that she wouldn’t be able to be a grandma to her grandkids. Sometimes Makua will look over our shoulders as if he’s interacting with someone or something. He’ll smile and laugh sometimes even. Maybe she is getting to play grandma after all…

Our Visit w/ Harry Potter’s Doc

Well, she isn’t really Harry Potter’s doc, but you might think it based on her last name- Muggelberg. Dr. Muggelberg. Hogwart Professor. (I really have no idea what I’m talking about. I haven’t read a single Harry Potter book and have only see 2 or 3 of the movies.)

Anyway, I intentionally made our appointment super early so that Makua wouldn’t be cranky or miss his nap. As they say, the best of intentions are just that- intentions. Makua ended up cranky and missing his nap. Oh well, you win some. You lose some. Though I think the crankiness was due mainly to the allergy testing.
